Microbial Fermentation

Microbial Fermentation requires robust, scalable equipment with high g-forces. Our stainless steel Powerfuge® line is fully scalable and can achieve g forces of up to 20,000 x g.

How It Works

Case Study

Microbial Fermentation requires robust, scalable equipment with high g-forces. Our stainless steel Powerfuge® line is fully scalable and can achieve g forces of up to 20,000 x g.

The Challenge

A company was using a bottle centrifuge to separate an inclusion body protein from E.coli. The batch centrifuge process was considered labor intensive and time consuming and they were looking for a better solution.

We Used

The Powerfuge® Pilot was selected. Our stainless steel Powerfuge line is fully scalable and can achieve g forces of up to 20,000 x g, the highest g force in the market.

The Outcome

The Powerfuge was able to reduce the labor involved and the run time. It also enabled the company to double the concentration of the E.Coli feed and to achieve the same separation performance.
